Blackstone expected more than $350 million in realized income
Blackstone estimated more than $350 million in realized performance and principal investment income for July 1, 2026 to September 22, 2026. It disclosed the estimate in a Form 8-K filed with the SEC on 2026-09-22.
What happened
Blackstone filed Form 8-K with the SEC on 2026-09-22. In the filing, it announced an Intra-Quarter Realization Update Relating to the Third Quarter. The update estimated revenue related to realization activity for the period from July 1, 2026 to September 22, 2026.
Blackstone preliminarily expected to record total Realized Performance Revenues and total Realized Principal Investment Income for that period in excess of $350 million. The expected amount was comprised of approximately 90% Realized Performance Revenues, meaning income recorded when investment gains were realized.
Partial update showed what was included and excluded
The estimate included certain non-fee related incentive fees and other investment income expected to be realized at quarter end. It did not include results or impact from any other sources of income, including fee income, or expenses.
For investors, that distinction clarified the scope of the figure. It showed realized investment gains separately from recurring fees and costs, without giving a complete picture of quarterly revenue.
Blackstone pointed to its scale as alternative asset manager
Blackstone said it was the world’s largest alternative asset manager, meaning a firm managing investments outside traditional stocks and bonds. The company stressed that the estimate did not include revenue from any realization activity that might occur after September 22, 2026.
Final quarterly total still depended on September remainder
Blackstone said the preliminary estimate was not intended to predict total Realized Performance Revenues, total Realized Principal Investment Income or total Segment Revenues for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. The figure therefore left out later realization activity and other income and expense items.
