SAP rolled out Joule Work for more than 400 million users
SAP said it was rolling out Joule Work for all customers, letting more than 400 million users work in their own language, while reporting productivity gains of over 20% in central functions.
What happened
SAP showcased the Autonomous Enterprise with on-stage demos and live customers at SAP Connect in Las Vegas. SAP CEO Christian Klein said: “It’s time to show you the Autonomous Enterprise in action underpinned by great customer stories,”. The company said: “This month, we are rolling out Joule Work for all customers,” describing it as a new UI for AI.
SAP said more than 400 million SAP users can talk in their own language to SAP, and Joule Work gets the job done. Joule Work was based on three pillars including conversations, where users ask questions and delegate tasks to agents, plus spaces and Joule Studio.
SAP announced the launch of SAP Pay, an embedded payments service that can automatically execute and reconcile supplier payments once an invoice was approved. It also announced the planned acquisition of TechWolf, a Belgian workforce-intelligence startup designed to help close skills gaps. The SAP Autonomous Suite initially covered five domains: finance, procurement, supply chain, human resources, and customer experience.
Fewer manual tasks and faster security work explain the business case
SAP said SAP’s 110,000 employees were already using Joule to perform hundreds of thousands of tasks every day. It said it was already seeing productivity gains in central functions like HR, finance, and procurement of over 20%.
SAP Chief Security Officer Marielle Ehrmann noted that ransomware handovers that once took eight hours now take 22 seconds with AI. SAP said while 83% of enterprises use AI daily, only 13% have real visibility into it.
For investors, the relevance was practical: less manual work in support tasks can free time for exceptions, checks and decisions. The company tied the same idea to customer experience, saying it was ultimately defined by whether a business can follow through on customer commitments and deliver the promised outcome.
