New generation centres on connected cab and digital functions
The Vectron X is the latest locomotive generation featuring a connected driver’s cab, app-based digital functions, and standardized interfaces. RAILPOOL becomes the first customer for selected digital functions of the Vectron X and Vectron X Dual Mode.
For Siemens Mobility, the order matters because it gives the new generation an initial customer base for both the locomotive and its digital functions. For investors, that early adoption is relevant to how the product line starts in commercial use.
