Stryker names Spencer Stiles CEO from January 1, 2027
Stryker said President and COO Spencer Stiles would become Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2027, while Kevin Lobo would move to Executive Chair.

According to the company, Stryker filed Form 8-K with the SEC on 2026-10-06. It issued press release Number 26-19 dated October 6, 2026 announcing leadership succession.
Kevin Lobo would transition to Executive Chair of the Board of Directors. Current President and COO Spencer Stiles was appointed Chief Executive Officer. The leadership transition was effective January 1, 2027.
Planned handover preserves leadership continuity for investors
Stryker announced the move as part of a planned succession process with Kevin Lobo transitioning to the role of Executive Chair. Stryker described itself as a global leader in medical technologies.
For the business, the structure kept an experienced leader involved while assigning daily management to the successor. For investors, that arrangement provided clarity about responsibilities after the handover.
Lobo built long tenure before handing over leadership
Lobo had a distinguished career at Stryker spanning more than 15 years. He joined the company in 2011 as Group President, became Chief Executive Officer in October 2012 and was appointed Chair of the Board in July 2014.
Stryker tripled annual net sales from $8.7 billion in 2012 to more than $26 billion in 2026. Stryker completed more than 60 acquisitions, including Mako.
